Took my 13 year old bitbull , who has been licking the lump on her toes till they became large and inflamed to Blue Cross Newlands. Her foot was bandaged and Antibiotics were given . A week later a follow up check up was scheduled. Usually at other vets I have been to, also in affluent areas, follow up visits are not charged as it is to check if the medication worked. Quess what ? First consultation only was R665 and second FOLLOW - UP visit only, was R510. I wrote them an email and the second consultation fee was refunded. Apparently , an over zealous locum was blamed for the error, although the same persona attended to me on both occasions.
